OK, I found why this was - I needed to attach the akonadi.db first! Doh! It now works and can launch kmail fine. :-) The only problem seems to be that my kaddressbook is empty. This could be because I am using the old kabc/std.vcf file instead of the new .local/share/contacts directory format - although I tried the latter and I got an address book listed, but no contacts in it are shown in the GUI. Will have to wait for the next version of KDE as advised on the KDE akonadi pages. > It may be time to give claws-mail a spin. I did try it and can categorically say that it is not for me. Managing messages with the keyboard, the way it integrates with Gmail, its GbuPG and S/MIME plugins, are just not as convenient or smooth flowing for me as is kmail. -- Regards, Mick
