Before you read specific answers below, you may want to check: $ echo $XDG_DATA_DIRS /usr/local/share:/usr/share
in your logs is shows: Environment variable XDG_DATA_DIRS is set to '/usr/share:/usr/local/share:/usr/share' Why is /usr/share in there twice? Could this mess things up? I used sqlite instead.
