You may know this already but the Intel Graphics email list is populated with (among others) some of the Intel guys actually developing and testing the drivers. When I was bringing up my i5-661 machine they were very responsive in solving the few (and I think less severe) problems that I was having. They were pretty much right on top of what packages I needed to run to solve problems with my hardware. You might give them a try.
