Doesn't work. The WinXP boot console opens alright but that's all. As I've said elsewhere, boot.ini *is* accessible along with ntdetect and ntldr -- they just don't work. An XP boot disk doesn't work. I used PM 8 to look at the drive and the entire 120G drive is flagged w/ error #110. This, I'm told, can be fixed using findpart.exe to list the partitions and then ptedit.exe to fix them. But when I try I'm told these are 32bit apps, not windows, but "new" DOS. But if I boot to a DOS prompt using Win98, surely that's a DOS32 environment?!?! But a clue perhaps. Booting XP in safe mode a bunch of multi(0)disk(0)... lines scroll by ending with multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\inf\biosinfo.inf > -- > gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list > > __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
