I use JFS on my laptop (it's an IBM ThinkPad, so why not use an IBM-made file system?). It has worked great for a long time. I have never lost a file after a crash (I use all the latest kernels, so crashes happen sometimes). I have lost files to ReiserFS on the same machine, but it's been a long time since I used that fs. It could be better now. If you want to be safe, go for ext3. -- Hilsen Harald. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
