Now, before burning it, I'm aware there have been
changes made in the burning process since the 2.6
kernel. My experience using cdrecord has only been
wtth 2.4's, all coaster-making events :( From what
I've seen on line it should be as easy as 

#cdrecord /dev/hdc/<file> .

Ha! Fat chance! Could you please append some pointers?

Here's my hardware info:
