Just wanted to say this.. El-Cheapo cards will work, but may not be as full-featured or as fast throughput as the more expensive 3com cards. eg: USD6 Dlink vs USD25 3com. One Dlink I got was absolutely horrible. It will hang after a while and then everything will stop. Once changed the card, it's OK. I think this was a realtek chipset which caused the issue.
