Ok, it is no flame war but... I used KDE since 5 years without problem but, since April I bought an AMD64 and since April, I cannot use arts. Why? With KDE 3.3.2, 3.4.0, 3.4.1 arts crashed my computer: if I start a KDE session, my computer crash without messages! The only system that works is to go to a console, edit the /etc/group, remove my user from the audio group and start KDE... I don't need arts!!!! I recompiled the KDE without arts support and I wait that the KDE team finds a solution or accept the other sound server for KMail and kopete (juk, kdetv, work without arts...
