Sorry, I think you have us stumped. If you run: dmraid ... dmsetup ls and dmsetup reports no devices, then my guess is that dmraid is misconfigured or broken. But I don't know enough about dmraid to help. I will in about 3-4 months, when I upgrade my laptop to a model that supports SATA RAID, but that doesn't help you today.
