I looked at the man page for gphoto2 and it said that I could try
--auto-detect the camera.  I tried it:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] michael $ gphoto2 --auto-detect
Model                          Port
----------------------------------------------------------
[EMAIL PROTECTED] michael $

Other than that, the man page didn't make much sense to me.  Is there
anything else I can do?
