The usenet archives, via google, intermingle this thread with some
questions I had.  That doesn't make sense, since they apparently have
different subject lines and just breeds confusion.   Since it was "my"
thread which you hijacked, Michael, I'm entitled to re-iterate "don't
do it," and I won't say please.

And saying it will probably continue not to help, because you haven't said what thread hi-jacking is. Anyone who starts a new thread by replying to an old one & changing the subject is unlikely to be doing so out of maliciousness. Because it's so easy to start a thread the correct way, they're probably not even doing it out of laziness - they probably just don't know what difference it makes.
