I knew a guy once who worked in a call centre, he did not have web access, but had email access.
If he wanted to view a web page he sent an email to some external provider with the url in the body of the email, and a short time later he would get the web page back as an attachment. OK so he was getting around a restriction imposed by his employers, but he wasn't doing toooo much harm :) Secondly I have seen an email to fax gateway implemented in this way.
