Hi,
I'm at the very beginning of trying to set up a bunch of media
server stuff for the home. I've got music working well enough for now
(although I am interested in answers to Eamon's post a few minutes
ago) and I've started trying to get some app like dvd::rip built.
Maybe it will actually build for me in the next few days. When it does
that will handle DVDs. Last I want to be able to record and distribute
TV on the network and need some pointers as to both hardware and
software. As always, thanks in advance. I've posted elsewhere but none
of the info has been useful. That's not likely to be the case here I'm
sure.

1) TV tuner hardware. What are people using successfully today? We've
been looking at ADS Tech, preferably their USB 2.0 solutions to allow
moving the hardware around more easily if necessary. Has anyone had
any success with something like Instant TV USB? If not, what hardware
are you using? Hauppauge? Something else? What sort of quality are you
getting for both picture and sound?

2) What PRV app are you using? It seems from the forums that either
MythTV or Freevo are the preferred apps? Is that the case?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Cheers,
Mark
