Sorry I haven't been on this list in a a while (I've been pretty busy with work). Did you talk to the pms team about https://bugs.gentoo.org/833567? I knew about Robin's proposal, but there isn't a working version of that yet, and I've seen packages break portage using EGO_SUM. William
