just to make it clear, upstream never said such thing nor are they in
any way hostile to open source principles (I suppose you wouldn't state
that if you know subsurface's developers). subsurface is open source but
that does not mean that its developers have to care about every distro
or way to distribute it. history has shown for them that it not really
feasible to do so give the number of active contributes. furthermore
there were valid reasons for them to 'fork' some of subsurface's deps.
