I've been on the alias and maintaining a few fonts (or rather, fonts/tex) packages for a while now, whatever that means. I won't be able to attend the meeting, but considering you've been the (only?) one doing most of the work on fonts side recently, count my vote & approval for you being the lead. Alexis.
