Can't disagree more. It's about wrong results, broken systems, unreadable error messages, days of figuring out ruby, perl, haskell, multilib, python blockers, incorrect autounmask suggestions and even missing files from time to time (heard that other portage users hit that too)... I think you are approaching the problem from the wrong angle. These problems are connected as has already been pointed out.
