Hi,
  have you considered to stabilize gcc:4.9 instead possibly 4.9.2 ?
I'm not really suggesting to do so, but seem that most of the problems
of 4.9.1 are the same of 4.8.3 so maybe it's worth considering.

for 4.9.2 the 6-12 week window could be a problem
