Unfortunately, this is not an option:
I assure you that you do not want to keep the updates
in dependencies forever; their number is simply too large.
This would mean the portage tree will keep growing in an
insane manner: It "almost" means to force every user to
keep the *full* CVS (or in future maybe git) repository.
