Hi all, as a consequence of the full profile tree going EAPI=5 (as announced earlier), 1) the long-deprecated 10.0 profiles make no sense anymore and have been removed 2) the separate eapi-5-files directory makes no sense anymore.
I've increased the EAPI in profiles/base to 5, and added stable.mask/force files there. Now I have a request... PLEASE: *** If you have in the past added an entry in profiles/eapi-5- files/package.use.stable.mask, please migrate it to profiles/base/package.use.stable.mask *** i.e. add the entry in the second location and remove it afterwards in the first location. I have not just copied the whole file over, since base is at a different point in the inheritance order of the profiles and I want to avoid subtle breakage. (Especially if the mask is lifted somewhere else, interacts with a file in another profile directory, etc bla bla... but that is something that *you* who made the mask entry should know.) Objective is that profiles/eapi-5-files/package.use.stable.mask becomes "empty" and the whole profiles/eapi-5-files directory can afterwards be removed. Thanks a lot & cheers, Andreas -- Andreas K.
