Can I just say he's one of the coolest devs on irc that > i've run into, and incredibly helpful to all. I've been looking for an appropriate place to say this publicly and it looks like this is it. I really like the way the portage changelog and bugs have been handled recently. As a core package, I like to review the portage changelog every time I see an upgrade, before I actually do it, the better to have an idea what went wrong if something happens, and having the bug numbers listed in the changelog is a wonderfully concise way of handling things. Then on the bugs, there's usually just the right balance of tech-speak vs. English in the explanation -- I can follow the issue and the fix along with possible complications right in the bug, even without knowing python (let alone the portage code) particularly well. It's a breath of fresh air, and zmedico and the other portage devs are to be commended not just for the work and improvements they continue to do, but for the clarity of the "social interface" aspect of their work, as well. =8^) -- Duncan - List replies preferred.
