Well, sorry, but what you call a "horrid" first attempt is the joined
effort of PARISC developers at HP and X86 developers at Intel, both with
a heritage of over 20 years in CPU design.

I think, the idea was to bring the concept of EPIC back to life and use
it as an advantage in an emerging competitive market of 64 Bit
architectures for the masses.

But as i consider, it was ahead of it's time.

The people are buying cheap and fast CISC.

Instead of investing in expensive and scalable EPIC.

Nevermind.
