Seeds is in a very early phase, so you can still get in sync with releng and talk about using all knowledge/skills for the good of both. There is no actual need to be a subproject, but both should really share their experiences and communicate a lot, that is the main request (I think). As I just read, releng feels a bit stepped on their toes, because they planned something similar, so you see the overlapping area of interest. And as seemant said: Step back a little, forget about everything and start again.
