Hello, I have just added media-gfx/fbi to package.mask and will remove it from the tree in about 30 days. The program is no longer developed upstream in its original form. Instead, it is now a part of the 'fbida' project, which provides a bunch of simple applications for viewing and editing images. fbida is available as media-gfx/fbida.
