This set of packages has been this way since October 2003, and if it was a real problem for users, you'd see that reflected in bugzilla and in the forums. It isn't. The issue is also covered in our NX Guide, which was last updated August 2004 [1]. The Guide has explicit instructions on how to switch from one 'edition' to another (which is the only circumstance where the filename collisions problem can occur).
