As to make this as simple to understand as possible I will rephrase everything here. We are still working with upstream on the ability to to - --enable-official-branding for firefox-1.5 and thunderbird-1.5. We have enabled canvas and svg support as default from here out. Upstream has stated in the past they would not allow gentoo to brand until this was default action for source installs. So what it all comes down to is your now using a firefox/thunderbird-1.5 that is built as close as possibe to binary package, with your less needed options being avaliable still based on USE flags. If this is still a bit confusing I apoligize, but you will see were it is all going when branding support is added to the tree. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFD58pPGDfjNg8unQIRApmqAJ9hWC0mmuP6BFJIiEjBuOupD8ZSgQCeNzlF kAq8iLBBQgXUDXiT48S8xLE= =W2Dp -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- gentoo-dev@gentoo.org mailing list
