Well, I'm a normal user here, and I can install gentoo quite easily without reading the documentation. it's dead simple: prepare the disks -> get the stage tarballs -> chroot -> bootstrap/emerge -e system -> build the kernel -> build the bootloader -> a few config tweaks.
