I played around with Squeak a while back. The license is non-free according to the folks who work with Richard Stallman. It's an interesting environment, but I wasn't willing to learn Smalltalk in order to use it, nor was I willing to adopt their style, their GUI, etc. So ... I won't jump up and down and cry bloody murder if it disappears from Portage. If someone is interested in Squeak, they can buy the books, go to the Squeak web page and get the latest version.
