Well, I've tried that with GCC 3.4.1 and standard GCC on MacOSX 10.3 when 
3.4.1 was released.
Vanilla GCC didn't work, MacOSX's did.

I don't know how that was handled after 3.4.1, because I removed it and moved 
using standard MacOSX's one.
