The site source checker at
https://infra-reports.apache.org/#sitesource shows where the website
HTML is stored; that will generally give a strong hint as to the
source itself.
e.g. if the HTML is at xxx.git, branch asf-site, then the source will
probably be the default branch of the same repo.

But I agree that it would help if the website itself included a link
to the source, as is done by community.a.o in the footers.
