Hi everyone,

I am Ji Min, the founder of the Seata open source community. Since its open
source in 2019, the Seata community has been growing for over 4 years.
During this period, many developers have contributed to the community.
Based on their contributions, we have formed a team of developers [1],
which currently has nearly 30 members.

Regarding who should be the initial committer, the community follows the
principles of fairness and openness. We sent notifications through email
list and Dingtalk group to all committers/maintainers, informing them about
the news of the public application for initial committer. Before submitting
the proposal, we accepted all proactive applications.

Meanwhile, the community proactively invited some contributors based on
their past contributions, activity, and future commitment. Most people
accepted our invitations, while some declined due to work and family
reasons.

1. The measurement standard for past contributions is based on outstanding
contributions such as playing a crucial role in creating the community,
building transaction patterns, or submitting more than 30 PRs.
2. For measuring activity, we expect participation in the community within
the past year. As the community technology advances rapidly, long periods
of absence can result in becoming unfamiliar or falling behind.
3. In the future, we expect him/her to invest more time in the community to
help it grow.

Being an initial committer means more than just honor or privilege, it also
entails taking on greater responsibility. The community is a continuous
process of development, and we hope to see more individuals become
committers or PMC members during the incubation period.
