Hi everyone, I'll go with the flow on this but I've noticed that some release votes specify details about some minimum number of days that the thread will be open for. Some other vote threads do not specify a time line and are liable to lead to an announcement of a result as soon as 3 votes come in.
I favour having transparency on this. Not everyone is available to look at the release candidates on the day the vote starts. If the general consensus is that it's up to the person calling the vote to decide, then that's fine. The release management page expresses no opinion on this [1] Regards, PJ [1] https://incubator.apache.org/guides/releasemanagement.html --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org
