Hello everyone,
let me introduce myself: I am Aristide Cittadino CEO and CTO of ACSoftware.
Let me say that for me it is a pleasure as well as an honor to be able to
give you some details about HyperIoT.

HyperIoT is an idea that was born around 2015 but I had the chance to
develop it in my company (ACSoftware, recent Italian Solution Provider)
only in 2018 having received a public R&D grant.

HyperIoT is entirely based on open source technologies, specifically Apache
technologies, I personally think it would be perfect to enter the ASF
ecosystem.

It is based on two core components :

A framework for developing microservices in OSGi - karaf (another
interesting project that if you would like to explore further I am
available or it can be merged with HyperIoT Platform) and a service
platform (based on the framework) that coordinates apache technologies to
implement the process that was described in the abstract sent by
Piergiorgio.

I strongly want to make Hyperiot OpenSource and to enter ASF for the
following reasons:

- I strongly believe in the idea that Open Source is the right way to share
and spread the benefits that using tecnologies involved in HyperIoT provide.

- My interest in the project goes beyond mere economic interest but I would
like the idea to remain regardless of the evolutions that ACSoftware brings.

- At ACSoftware we do not have an adequate number of resources to support
the evolutions that such a platform requires. Having a community available
to take care of it would be the natural evolution.

We have released all the source code under Apache 2.0 license and will
continue to update the git hub documentation especially on the classic
"getting started" part.

We are also working on refactoring to optimize and improve some parts but
we can already say that the whole platform has more than 2000 automated
tests.

Last small update that technologically could be interesting: we are already
developing version 3.0 that allows to use the whole service stack on any
framework such as OSGi , Spring, Quarkus. This way those who will use the
software and want to customize it can do so using an already familiar
technology.

I am available for any clarification. I really hope you will consider the
proposal.

See you soon!

Hi,

ACSoftware shared all the modules in their GitHub account and they also
changed the license:
https://github.com/orgs/ACSoftwareTeam/repositories

They are going to improve the documentation in order to facilitate the
adoption process.
More information will be provided directly by Aristide that now is
following this list.

Please share your feedback.
Cheers,
PJ
