Wait, does that mean that the source for all retired podlings
disappears from all ASF repos (no archive) when a podling is retired??

If that's the case, I vote -1 for this retirement, and all future such
votes.  If that's not the case, then sure.  But I'm against anything
that potentially results in a loss of available code.
