Here's my formal -1 ;-) I don't object to your patch but for lazy consensus you need a specific thread with a descriptive subject line, IMO, not something buried in a different thread like this. As for the patch I suggest a slightly expanded definition of Champion, "A Member of the Apache Software Foundation who supports a Candidate's application for Incubation and acts as a liaison between the incoming podling and the Incubator in the early stages of incubation".
