Bertrand, The list is indeed long. This issue was discussed within the community after feedback from Ted. We also sought out our mentors (Alan, Chris, Hitesh, Justin, Taylor) and others from ASF community. Under advice Apex community came to a conclusion that it is better to engage as committers all those who are interested, than to create a small list of initial committers.
Do note that a big part of the list is DataTorrent engs who already are active just as part of their job. Almost all of the rest are a sub-section of current users who are already engaged in using DataTorrent and expressed interest in helping the community.
