Why am I here ? I see apachecon, and also partly project conferences, as the ASF showcase window, and incubator as the door through which we grow the family. I sincerely believe ASF need more exposure to the "real" world, too few know about us (unlike 10-15years ago where ASF==httpd in peoples mindset). I try to help the best I can with AC activities. For me its natural to also offer my help to new projects (with help from all you highly skilled people). I have been working with computers since 1975, and have, especially during the days of BBS (anybody remember that...dial up with modem, and share), helped establish development communities.
