Many hearty thanks to all who have participated in the threads related to this
VOTE. Release voting is a challenging problem that has bedeviled the
Incubator for years, but in the last few weeks we have come together and
made significant progress.
* Built consensus for a concise checklist of release requirments.
* Neared consensus on a controlled regime for relaxing policy on
incubating releases under appropriate circumstances, potentially reducing
the number of release candidates we force podlings to cycle through.
* Completed one release voting reform experiment.
* Enabled this experiment.
We've done all that with comparatively few emails: at 466 messages, November
clocked in as only the fourth busiest month this year.
I look forward to working with everyone to consolidate the gains made so far
and to finding more ways to improve the Incubator.
