Being an Incubator Shepherd is a new and rotating position that supplements a podling's Mentors. Jukka assigns shepherd volunteers to 1 to 3 projects to look at each month. What I like about this is the variety that Jukka chooses. So, if Any23 is still in the Incubator in 3 months you will have a different Shepherd. I may take you up on the offer to join the community and if I do it will be as someone who is interested in the project and how it fits in a Java stack around SOLR, Tika, POI, PDFBox, ODFToolkit(incubating). I guess I'm going to need to look into Apache Jackrabbit Oak as well.
