The Incubator ReportingSchedule needs better management. At the moment it is manually maintained.
http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/ReportingSchedule Podlings are expected to manage their entry. Add to it when they enter the Incubator, tweak it after their initial three months, and remove themselves when they graduate. Every six months i set up the next batch of templates for each monthly report, e.g. http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/November2011 and the list of reporting dates at the http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/FrontPage section "Board Reports". At the beginning of each month, hopefully before projects start adding their reports, i add the list of that month's projects by following the instructions in the monthly templates. (And sometimes mess up.) Clutch reads the main ReportingSchedule and generates some data files to keep track of which projects are due to report. See http://incubator.apache.org/clutch.html#data These are used by the automated system "marvin" to remind projects to report. This reporting stuff is getting harder to manually manage. We now have sixty (yes 60) podlings currently in incubation. Can anyone see a way to improve this process? -David --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org
