Hello, The IP Clearance page gives two options for collective grants:
http://incubator.apache.org/ip-clearance/index.html#notes 1. All entities sign the same software grant together and submit one software grant form. This is preferred but obviously can complicate the process considerably. 2. The alternative is that each party sign its own software grant while everyone references the same contribution (designated by a URL and an MD5 hash over the ZIP file representing the contribution). It is recommended that the software grant form is modified in order to have a line for each party so the completeness of the paperwork can be verified upon receipt. We're going to have around 20 participants in our grant, and they are scattered around the globe (Croatia, Japan, etc.), so the second option is more practical. It seems awkward to add a full signature section for each participant, though, as that will explode the document length out to many pages, so I'm not sure I understand the instructions correctly. LICENSOR: Signed By: _____________________________________ Print Name: ____________________________________ Title: _________________________________________ Representing: __________________________________ ________________________________________________ Contact Name: __________________________________ Contact Email: _________________________________ Perhaps it would be better to list all the grant participants as "Exhibit B", using the following language? Exhibit B This collective software grant requires the participation of the following parties: * Marvin Humphrey * Eventful, Inc. * Peter Karman ... Are there any other examples of "modified" collective grant forms that we can go examine?
