Hi Jean-Baptiste,

Yes, in the SAP world "transport" means to take a package from the Dev system and deploy it to the QA/Production systems.

You can find out more here:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/44/b4a0137acc11d1899e0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

You may even find some inspiration for features by looking at how SAP tackle the problem. :-)

Best regards,
Darren

Hi Darren,

Apache Transport is really a very good name (simple to remember, language
independent).

In the SAP world, does it mean application deployment and management ?

Pizzazz (Yoav's proposition) and DeployX looks nice

Currently the project is named AutoDeploy

Apache Scrum is just a name proposition, I'm
open to all other name :)
How about DeployX :)

I tried checking from nameprotect.com, but I
couldnt.

As with Yoav, I am in favor of this project.
It resonates with what I do
for a living. Also as with Yoav, I'd
suggest a different name. And I am
personally hoping that more names with be at
least marginally reflective of
what the project does.
I would ask that you take a look at
Lokahi
(http://incubator.apache.org/lokahi/). And we
should engage projects like
Tomcat, Geronimo, Ode, Tuscany, et al, with
the goal of being able to
centrally install, manage and deploy with as
many of them as possible.
Do you use ssh to jumpstart, e.g., to
install the agent remotely?
