i've posted up a draft for a proposals guide document and also have in preparation a guide to the entry process.
i think that it would be a good idea to make the policy document (http://incubator.apache.org/incubation/Incubation_Policy.html) a little more concise and maybe move some discursive material into guidance rather than policy. however changes to the policy document requires a pmc vote so i thought it best to try gauge if there is a consensus that these changes would be for the better. i've stayed away from proposing changes to the policy here. 1 add links into proposal and entry guides 2 the organisation seems a little confusing to me. the proposal section talks mainly about sponsors. i think that this material should be moved up into a separate section. 3 the guidelines should take care of describing the content of the proposal. at the moment we have a TODO in. 4 the acceptance by sponsor doesn't really work as a process description for projects sponsored by the board or the incubator. would prefer to make this more explicit and tried to explain the process more concisely. some discursive material may be better in the entry guide. opinions? - robert --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
