In general, a +1 for the proposal, as indicated by my earlier
involvement in putting the proposal together and signing up as a
mentor/champion.

There IS a conceptual and code-level separation between the OFBiz
framework and components built on top of it, but I think it makes a
nice cohesive project together. It's sort of like if Tomcat and
Struts were under the same umbrella: not necessary, but not hurtful as
long as people can independently download, use, develop, and
contribute to either layer. My understanding is the OFBiz has always
been like that, which is good.

I like the diversity of the OFBiz community: the contributors have
different backgrounds, different affiliations, and are generally both
independent and work together in a way that is just like the best ASF
projects. I think this is a very strong point in OFBiz: I'm fairly
sure the community will only grow and prosper in the future.
