IMO this highlights one of the problems: ATM pmc's do not need to commit to anything other than a vague promise that they'll consider accepting the podling after graduation. if they decide that they don't want the podling then they can just ask that it becomes a TLP. so, voting +1 has no cost to the pmc. IMHO it would be better to ask pmc'er to vote not for a passive sponsorship but an active promise to commit resources to provide oversight for the podling. - robert
