Should note, that this is specifically focused at httpd (it's drafted as a subproject of httpd, much like modperl or modpython are.) >> If I understand correctly, you will be proposing a set of standalone >tools, >> frameworks and an IoC container for building CLI applications. > >In a nutshell. I'm curious about the interoperability this could provide us, as we hope to extend to MS NET, mono, etc, an httpd module API. >> You might want to talk with William Rowe about it, and see if he has >interest in it, >> too. > >Certainly! Who is he? Google knows about 300 pages related to this name :-) Sorry about that, occupational hazard :) >Is he working with the link between Apache Httpd and CLI ? Yes, feel free to subscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and refer also to http://incubator.apache.org/projects/httpd-cli.html This phase is nearly finished, a few bugs were pointed out and another build variant, based on the free Visual C++ NET compiler, is due before a general release of the MS-specific mod_aspdotnet. Once done, other than bug fixes and users, I don't see much excitement there. The next action item is to start looking at exposing the native httpd environment to an arbitrary .NET hosted httpd module.
