Don't panic. :-) We are not moving any project CVS modules, for those that are still in CVS.
The Incubator PMC has decided to move the Incubator's own CVS modules into Subversion. This will take place today. The new structure is what you see (temporarily) under: http://svn.apache.org/repos/test/incubator/public/trunk/ Those who have access, and will be updating the repository will checkout https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/public/trunk/ once it has been migrated. It will also be visible via the normal http and viewcvs methods. Those of you who understand Subversion may be wondering about trunk directory. The ASF mailer uses the path to determine where to send commit messages. If we were to want to create a branch for possibly changing from forrest to some other publishing engine, or there were to be an ASF convention to have a "live" tag for site directories, we still want all of those commit notices to be caught by the incubator/public mailer configuration, and we won't have to change our checkouts. So once you've done your checkout, just ignore that there is a trunk component to the path. Everyone who is a member of the Incubator PMC, a PMC Chair, and/or a member of any project currently in the Incubator should have karma, since that was the state of affairs prior to migration.
