How would you compare it against Axion and/or Derby? They've also offered their Daffodil Replicator technology, which does not overlap with anything else we have, and which appears to be cross-DB, not Daffodil specific. The phrasing of: > > We are now evaluating the benefits of making Daffodil DB > > Open Source on the Apache Software Foundation. does not sound like the kind of commitment we want to hear, and suggests that they are still trying to decide whether or not they want to do this. Yes, we do have Derby, and Axion is supposed to finally complete its move at some point. There is discussion currently in [EMAIL PROTECTED] regarding Daffodil: http://nagoya.apache.org/eyebrowse/[EMAIL PROTECTED] &by=thread&from=871883. At the moment, it appears that we'll wait pending any decision from the DB PMC, and suggest that people interested in seeing Daffodil's DB or Replicator at the ASF participate in the discussion on that list. If nothing comes out of the discussion there, then the Incubator PMC can take up the matter. --- Noel --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
