As already answered in your previous question, you are likely running out of 
memory and Linux is killing the offending process: the gem5 link process. As 
already advised, increase your VirtualBox memory to at least 6GB. Also open you 
browser in your native system instead of VirtualBox as it is a memory hog. If 
you can't increase your VirtualBox memory, consider using a swap partition. It 
will kill your performance but at least you will get to a complete build. But 
if 6GB on your VirtualBox is not an option, I would strongly advise swapping 
your workstation all together. 16GB on your host is a bare minimum to work 
comfortably in a virtual machine.
