Hi all,

I am trying to make sense of the results I see when running a simple ls command in FS.  My setup is the following:

I am using ARM ISA, resuming from a checkpoint after boot (switching from Atomic to O3 CPU) and running my .rcs script.  I use m5 resetstats before the ls command and m5 exit after it.

My problem is that I see a very high number of committedInstructions and lookups (4041257 and 1183308 respectively).  The numbers seem to me to be very high for a simple ls command or even the underlying operating system.  I also tried using dumpresetstats, to check if the counters reset proprely, they appear to do so.

Does anyone has any insight or better understanding around this?

Thanks,

Dimitrios Chasapis
